Cross Country

On Friday the 19 of August Pt England school had Cross-Country. At morning my class got changed the girls got changed in the toilet and the boys got changed in the classroom before the girls got to go in the class we had to wait until the boys were finish.   

I’m in Hokule’a and I hope that I did my best at Cross-Country.

Derek Redmond

Derek Redmond was in a running race in 1992.

He is from Britain.

He ran so fast that his hamstring snapped He was in so much pain but he didn't give up he carried on even though he hurt his leg he hopped on one foot.    

Dad came and saved the day by helping him get to the finish line on the way dad was pushing other people away so Derek could finish the race.

Katinka Hosszu

I am a champion swimmer and I won a gold medal for breaking a world record. The equipment I need togs goggles. And I’m from Hungary. Before the race I felt scared  because  thousands of people were  watching me . But  at the same time I felt nervous . During race  I was thinking am I going to win . I was amazed that I won the race and broke the WORLD  RECORD  in 4 minutes and 26 seconds. In  400 metre individual women’s medley. I looked at my coach AND she was JUMPING even her husband.

Ancient Olympics

The first Olympics games took place about 3000 years ago in Olympia Greece .The games were held to honour Zeus the king of the gods and they happened every 4 years. In the beginning the games were just short running races for Greek men to get fit for war . there was only one winner and the winner got a crown of olive leaves. Over time other events were added like horse racing and boxing. After 1000 years the Ancient Olympics were banned by the Christians .

 The ancient Olympics were always remember  For Hope and Peace .

Pt England art gallery

Yesterday room 13 went to the Pt England art gallery it was in the hall Mr J had been setting it up . So  we can look at the wonderful art.

My favourite thing about the art gallery was the winter cave. The resin i liked it was the lights were very pretty and i liked the glitter and the detail they put in it.

I felt very very scared with my art being on displayed in the art gallery

Coldplay

Coldplay is a British band from London , England.

The song is called Up and Up the album is called A Head Full of Dreams. Coldplay is a very famous band.

There is a volcano with popcorn exploding out of it and also people are swimming in a cup.Also a race track on Saturn’s ring.

   

My favourite part was when the dolphins were swimming under the houses.It is my favourite part becuse it looked cool up side down.

i-luminate

On Tuesday after lunch the school went to the hall.when we got in the hall we saw i-luminat. They put on a show for us.The hall went black and i saw lots of lights go off and on .I recognise 2 of the songs.Turn down 4 what and Fancy.They had L.E.D. lights.My favourite part was when they switched heads.

Cricket Mondays

Every Monday Room 13 goes to play Cricket .

Before we play we have to listen to the coach to know how to play. I enjoy playing Cricket because it is fun to play.

I like Mrs Stickland because she always takes us for chair tiggy .

My Friend

My best friend Mata plays with me and she sometimes comes over to my house .

she is always kind to me .

Mata loves to go to the pools and she loves K.F.C.
