Special School Assembly

Today at Pt England Schools anal Friday assembly we had a little celebration for our principle Mr Burt, Because on the queens birthday he received a very special award from the queen called the "New Zealand Order Of Merit For Service Of Education".

Mr Burt planned our assembly just like he would any other assembly we have, But this time the assembly went a little out of order because the whole school teamed up to do a surprise celebration for out Principle.

It started of with Mrs Nua our deputy principle congratulating Mr Burt for his amazing achievement, after that another bunch of important people started speak about the award Mr Burt. Once we finished the year 7 and 8 students started to sing "Ufiufi" and then the whole school started to sing "Ka Waiata" and then all the year 7 and 8 boys plus other people started to do a Haka...

After that Mr Burt said a speech saying thank you to everyone for the special assembly. Then we carried on with our normal assembly.





     

Cybersmart

Task Description : Today in cybersmart we had wheae heather come and teach us about cybersmart, create ,world and learn.

Smart Relationships

Task Description : Room 3 (maths) Wheae Heather came to teach us about what a smart relationship is and our task was to explain what a smart relationship is .

ASB Polyfest MATHS

PolyFest 2019

On Wednesday the 13th of March team five went to the polyfest . We
did lot's of activities . When we got there, there were lots of other
schools getting of buses and and going inside . Once we went inside we walked to

where we were going to be the day sat down in the hot sun while

the helper we introducing her self once they finished we did fun rotations.

My group Pod four were the first one to do sport Waitakere . The man that was running

the game we were playing set up a course that our whole group had to participate
in , the aim of the game was to try and get your whole team a-cross the course
without touching the grass . but we had limited time there it was 10 minuets per
rotation when our time was up we went to a group we got put to the test to see if we
knew our pasifika country and flags we had to match the flag to the country if you
got them right you will win a pear of purple sunglasses. In our next rotation
We formed a circle and started playing a game called a thinking game.

Then we went to the Bright light community, we also did a game but it was about

teamwork we made a chain by bending under and grabbing the others person

hand behind. When we finished we went and sat down in front of the stage

and had lunch for about 15 minutes.

Then it was time for the performances but sadly there were no performances

but we did the polyfest dance challenge it was so cool.

But it was crowded with a lot of people . Then when we finished and went to the

stands we all got into our groups and went of my group got a lot of stuff it was really

fun i had dumplings and a strawberry smoothie . It was time to go back to school i
sad but happy i was sad because we had to leave polyfest but i was happy to leave
because my legs were killing me we finally got to school and it was time to go home .
Overall i had so much fun .
