Ancient Olympics

The first Olympics games took place about 3000 years ago in Olympia Greece .The games were held to honour Zeus the king of the gods and they happened every 4 years. In the beginning the games were just short running races for Greek men to get fit for war . there was only one winner and the winner got a crown of olive leaves. Over time other events were added like horse racing and boxing. After 1000 years the Ancient Olympics were banned by the Christians .

 The ancient Olympics were always remember  For Hope and Peace .

The Sky Tower

The Sky Tower is in Auckland city, New Zealand . And it is also by the Harbour bridge.

The Sky Tower is 328 metres long but when you do the sky jump it is only 192 metres.At the very top it is ponty. And when you go in the elevator if you look down you will see how high you are. The sky tower is silver and gray.

You can do the sky jump and the sky walk. You can also ask questions on a tiny machine, there is also a seafood restaurant.

The Sky Tower lights up for Celebrates,holidays ,Charities and events.Orange and yellow is Matariki,Blue,white and red is Waitangi day and Red and green is Chirstmas.

My Dream Bedroom

TRIP TO TE TUHI

Today Room 13 went to Te Tuhi the art gallery. The first thing we did was get on the bus.Then we got to Te Tuhi and the first thing we did.Was look a the big
volcano with T.V.S around it.Then one of the workers came to us. His name was Jeremy he showed room 13 around . He took us to the art class.On the way there we saw artist painting in a room.We saw a big painting it was just a cross the class room that were going to use.We got to make up a dream house. 

Then after we did that we went to a dark room.There were things on the table .We watched a little clip about them.The next room we saw some men were mounting medal and then the trip was over.We went back to school and ate our lunch. 

Pt England art gallery

Yesterday room 13 went to the Pt England art gallery it was in the hall Mr J had been setting it up . So  we can look at the wonderful art.

My favourite thing about the art gallery was the winter cave. The resin i liked it was the lights were very pretty and i liked the glitter and the detail they put in it.

I felt very very scared with my art being on displayed in the art gallery
